Two more Stormcast players make a Sevens team
Kitbashed Stormcast players for Blood Bowl

My slow creation of a kitbashed Stormcast Eternals team for Blood Bowl hit a milestone recently: I now have enough models converted to field a Sevens team… as long as I don’t need any subs.
Dhoraz Giant-Fell
First up, the indomitable Dhoraz Giant-Fell of Xandire’s Truthseekers hands in his Great Hammer for launching balls down the pitch.

On the lookout for good Blood Bowl pose potential, I decided to sacrifice another Warhammer Underworlds warband model, this time from Xandire’s Truthseekers. The Underworlds sculpts are all really full of character.
Usually Dhoraz carries a two-handed Great Hammer. In its place, I got the old hobby knife out and removed the throwing hand from a Human Thrower model to add to Dhoraz’s right arm, then cut away the hammer from the left hand of the Dhoraz model and angled it slightly differently.
Ideally, I would have had an open left hand to better suit the pose but couldn’t find one quite right.
All the same, I reckon he’ll look pretty good once painted up.
Old-school Liberator
Lying in pieces, half-constructed on my painting table for months, was a model included in some ebay job lot I got last year. Dry-fitting the body together, it looked a decent option so I explored options for converting it.

The right arm was already pretty good and just needed the hammer removing, with a little tidy-up on the hand itself.
For the left hand, I used the right gauntleted forearm from an Annihilator, removing the great hammer. This one needed a little green stuff to fill a gap in fitting but worked nicely.
For the head, I found an interesting open/bare head from some Space Marine or other that I got in a bag of bits from Graham’s Wuerkshoppe (an excellently-named hobby shop near me that has huge tubs of bits to pick from). Angling the head to look over the right shoulder rather than straight ahead made a big difference in the posture of the model.
And with that, I have two new Stormcast players for Blood Bowl and enough to at least field a starting lineup for a Sevens game.
What next?
I think I’ll investigate Vanquishers next as a source of models. There’s one Vanquisher model in particular I think could work really nicely if I can the conversion on the hands right.
The new 4th edition Liberators also have some good poses, and the double-hammer versions should help make the hands a bit easier to handle (or de-handle in this case).
